Requesting Four More Years to Serve Our Community
Comment 0

Friends, I officially filed to run for reelection as Mayor of Del Rio. Four years ago, our city needed steady leadership during a challenging time. In the middle of an immigration crisis and unwanted national attention, my priority was to keep our community safe, support law enforcement and first responders, and bring stability and focus back to City Hall.

Since then, we have made meaningful progress while continuing to catch up from years of underinvestment. Public safety remains a top priority, and we have stayed committed to responsible budgeting and consistent support for police, fire, and emergency services. At the same time, we are preparing for Del Rio’s future by addressing critical needs like water and wastewater infrastructure in a way that is smart, fair, and does not place the full burden on local ratepayers.

We have laid the groundwork for the next chapter of Del Rio, from economic development to quality of life improvements along San Felipe Creek. There is still work to do, and I am asking for four more years to bring people together, work across differences, and continue building a stronger, more united Del Rio.
